NGPF Academy is a FREE comprehensive professional development program designed to help you gain confidence teaching personal finance skills and build community with others who are committed to improving financial education. The NEW NGPF Academy year started July 1 and runs through June 30, 2026. Many thanks to the nearly 5,500 teachers who participated in the 24-25 NGPF Academy.

You are automatically enrolled when you attend your first PD.

5 Types of NGPF PD

• On-Demand modules: Self-paced, asynchronous modules that cover a wide range of personal finance topics
• Certification Courses: Deepen content knowledge by completing nine hours of sessions focused on a core content area with a one-hour final exam
• Virtual PD: Live, interactive one-hour sessions, offered multiple times per week
• Virtual Conferences: Offered multiple times per year on Saturdays, join for up to 6-7 hours of programming at no cost
• FinCamps: A full day of in-person PD led by NGPF team members

Earn Achievements

Collect digital badges for reaching milestones in NGPF Academy, showcasing your commitment to continuous learning.

You can get badges for:

• Attending your first Virtual PD
• Completing your first On-Demand module
• Passing your first Certification Course
• Each Certification Course you’ve completed (we offer 11)
• Earning the Distinguished Educator Award (passing at least six Certification Courses)
• Reaching Freshperson, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior status for the Academy year for every 10 PD hours you complete, up to 40 hours

Limited Edition Badges

Each quarter, we’ll announce a new challenge where you can earn a limited edition badge for completion in a three-month timeframe.

Get the Summer PD Passport

Complete three hours of any combination of NGPF PD between July 1–September 30, 2025 to earn this limited edition badge.
