A New Semester, A New Welcome (or Refresher)

To our first time-teaching-the-curriculum educators, welcome! This blog is made to support you first-timers, as well as serve as a refresher for our returning teachers. If you’re looking for some resources to orient yourself to the NGPF website, curriculum, and team, keep on reading!

We offer Professional Development, On-Demand: at your convenience, at your own pace, on your own time. Below is our recommended Beginner Series. Each module should be roughly an hour and are listed in their recommended order.

Beginner Series: Navigating the NGPF Website

In this module, you'll: 

  • Learn tips & tricks to effectively and efficiently navigate the NGPF website 
  • Explore the NGPF curriculum, professional development, and advocacy resources
  • Explore key and helpful NGPF resources and activities 

Beginner Series: Unit Planning with NGPF

In this module, you'll:

  • Review the setup and resources available on the NGPF unit pages and course pages
  • Explore unit planning resources such as the NGPF Unit Planning Document, Do More Learn More resources, and The 5-E Lesson Plan
  • Share tips & tricks for effective unit planning

Beginner Series: Implementing NGPF in the Classroom

In this module, you'll:

  • Get answers to key questions about the NGPF curriculum
  • Learn strategies to build up or trim down your lessons
  • Discover several ideas on how to implement the NGPF curriculum in your classroom
  • Hear tips from NGPF super user teachers
